How Do I Describe the Nautique Copper Herbicide?

Nautique Copper Herbicide
Picture of the Nautique Copper Herbicide

Nautique Copper Herbicide is a copper-chelated herbicide that can be used to control weeds, algae, and other aquatic plants.

Aquatic herbicides are fast acting and work by absorbing the tissue of plants through contact. The copper disrupts the photosynthesis of the plant, which will starve and kill it within 3-14 days.

It is safe to use on potable or non-potable water bodies, whether they are still or moving, to control floating, submerged, and emergent weeds and algae.

How To Use Nautique Copper Herbicide?

  • Do Your Calculations:

Decide which weeds you want to control. Next, measure the depth and surface area of the water body. The rate of application will depend on the plant targeted, the plant density and the water volume.

  • Follow The Nautique Copper Herbicide Label Instructions:

You can use this aquatic herbicide diluted or undiluted. The label will tell you the correct mix and rate for your body of water and the weeds that you are targeting.

  • Apply:

When spraying the surface, make sure you use enough spray to cover the plant. Spray the chemical in the opposite direction of the water flow when spraying the surface of the flowing water. Use a weighted spray hose for subsurface spraying to treat submerged plants.
