The 2025 Westminster Dog Show was quite thrilling, as over 2,000 dogs, including Monty the Giant Schnauzer, entered the competition, all looking to emerge best in show.

The Winners of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
- Monty the Giant Schnauzer:
Monty the Giant Schnauzer emerged as the winner of this year’s dog show, and it was not really a surprise to anyone as he stepped into the field with so much aura and composure.
The Giant Schnauzer came into the competition as a presumed favorite and won the hearts of the judges with ease, outranking his fellow dogs who already had best-in-show finishes in their résumés.
This was his 3rd year in a row capturing the working group.
- Neal the Bichon Frisé:
The non-sporting group was lucky to have the presence of Neal the bichon frisé, who appeared to look like a tiny walking cloud.
He looked so unrealistic and perfectly captured the non-sporting group.
- Freddie the English Springer Spaniel:
Freddie the English Springer Spaniel captured the sporting group with ease. He was named after Freddie Mercury and definitely made him proud.
The way he strutted around got him noticed and made him stand out among other great competitors who were even more potential than he was.
- Archer the Skye Terrier:
Archer the Skye Terrier captured the terrier group with so much ease. He easily glided across the judging ring and impressed the judges despite having his pin-straight silver coat hung around his entire body, even covering his eyes and legs.
He was impressive!
- Comet the Shih Tzu:
Comet the Shih Tzu was also impressive despite his small size among other top competitors. He emerged winner of the toy group for the second time in a row.
He proudly pranced around the judging ring with his long hair while also flashing his tongue in excitement. He has a chance of emerging best in show in the coming year.
- Bourbon the Whippet:
Bourbon the Whippet has always been an impressive dog in the show, as she was a known and familiar figure. She was a previous 2nd place winner of Westminster’s reserve best in show in 2020 and 2021 before settling for retirement.
However, she came back to this year’s event and showed everyone that she still got it by emerging as the winner of the reserve best in show.
- Mercedes the German Shepherd:
Most people think Mercedes should have emerged best in show for this year’s event; however, Monty came prepared and took it with ease.
He was also impressive, though!
