How To Use Nautique Copper Herbicide

When using Nautique Copper Herbicide wear the appropriate personal protective equipment whenever you handle, measure, mix, or apply chemicals. Copper can be toxic to some fish and aquatic animals.

The type of water you use may also affect the likelihood of harming organic life that is not the target. For more information, check the label.

When a large amount of aquatic plants are removed, it can pose a danger to aquatic life. This is because the oxygen in the water will be reduced and carbon dioxide levels will increase.

Some fish, such as trout and Koi, can be sensitive to copper and could suffer if it is applied to the water that they inhabit.

Komeen, a highly effective and powerful aquatic herbicide, has a quicker uptake rate than other copper-based herbicides.

This herbicide is fast acting and kills most weeds within 3-14 days. Komeen is labelled as a product with a broad range of uses and can be used in a number of ways.

Komeen Aquatic Herbicide is compatible with other aquatic herbicides that are approved for use. This can be used to improve control. Read the labels of the Komeen Aquatic Herbicide and the herbicides you plan to mix it with for restrictions.

Komeen is available in a variety of application methods. These include surface sprays, aerial sprays and subsurface applications.

For a complete list of applications, refer to the label. We recommend a 1-gallon pump hand sprayer for household applications or smaller volumes.

How To Use Nautique Copper Herbicide?

  • Do Your Calculations:

The mix rate will vary depending on the plant you are targeting. The label will list all the plants that are affected.

  • Follow The Nautique Copper Herbicide Label Instructions:

Use your preferred method to apply the product. Make sure that the plants remain in contact with treated water for a minimum of 3-24 hours. Otherwise, reapplications may be required.

If the affected plants don’t drop below the surface within 3-14 days, a reapplication could be necessary 10-14 days following the initial application.

  • Apply:

Continue to apply the product as directed until you reach an acceptable level of weed pressure.

Remind yourself that some aquatic plants are good for the water since they replenish oxygen. Aquatic life can die out if too many plants are killed at once.
