How To Use Cutrine Plus Algaecide?

  • Do Your Calculations:

Measure the water body’s length, width, and typical depths within the treatment region.

In order to calculate the acre-feet, use the formula on the label: Length (ft) x Width (ft) x Average Depth (ft) / 43,560 = Acre-feet.

1.5 acres of water can be treated with 1 gallon of Cutrine algaecide for standard algal applications.

  • Follow The Cutrine Plus Algaecide Label Instructions:

Use a 9:1 dilution ratio for small backpack sprayer applications (1 gallon of Cutrine Plus to 9 gallons of water) or a 50:1 dilution ratio for large tank sprayers or water pump equipment.

Enough water should be added to Cutrine algaecide to ensure an equal application. One gallon of Cutrine algaecide should be mixed with nine gallons of water when using a backpack sprayer or a handheld pump sprayer.

Use a 50:1 ratio when utilizing a professional skid sprayer or power sprayer. Refer to the label for more precise application rates.

  • Apply:

If a high-pressure sprayer is used, break up any large chunks of floating algae with it. To avoid injuring fish, it is advised to treat only 1/3 to 1/2 of the body of water because removing the algae can diminish the oxygen supply.

Directly apply Cutrine algaecide to the water’s surface, preferably using a fan nozzle spray setting for even coverage.
