Crabgrass treatment is particularly advised with Drive XLR8 Herbicide, a post-emergent weed killer that is safe to use on a variety of turf grass species.
This solution is rainfast within an hour and contains a water-based formulation that the target plant can absorb quickly. Drive XLR8 herbicide is transported throughout the plant by absorption into the roots, branches, and leaves.
Drive XLR8 herbicide is fantastic since it is selective, which means it just kills unwanted weeds and doesn’t damage desirable grasses.

How To Use Drive XLR8 Herbicide
- Follow the Drive XLR8 Herbicide Label Instructions and Apply:
Square footage is equal to the product of length and width. This will calculate how much herbicide you require.
The mixing rates range from 0.5 to 1.45 fluid ounces per gallon of water per 1,000 square feet, depending on the type of weed you are treating.
The methylated seed oil should be mixed at a rate of 0.55 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet.
To treat 1,000 square feet with spot treatments, combine 1.5 tablespoons of methylated seed oil and 3 tablespoons of Drive XLR8 in a gallon.
Pour 0.5 gallons of water into your spray tank to start making your solution. After adding the prescribed amount of methylated seed oil, add the measured amount of this herbicide.
After adding the final 0.5 gallons of water to the spray tank, shut it up and give it a good shake to combine.
Once the herbicide has been diluted with water, you may start spraying your solution. Apply the material to the measured area, keeping ornamental plants and tree roots out of the way.
Use the coarse spray setting to get even coverage. When applied, this will reduce the likelihood of wind drift. Don’t overspray to the point of runoff; just keep it damp. You have 14 to 21 days after your first application to reapply.
