Description of the Bifen XTS

Bifen XTS
A Picture of the Bifen XTS

Bifen XTS, a bifenthrin-emulsifiable concentrate pesticide, targets termites and a range of other insects. This treatment provides up to 90 days of residual barrier protection and rapid insect death.

This easy-to-use pesticide can be used by DIY homeowners with a hand-held pump sprayer to reach cracks and crevices and treat lesser-sized areas.

Experts can also profit from applying Bifen XTS as a trench treatment to eradicate termites or as a broad-coverage sprayer.

Bifen XTS can be sprayed in most outdoor spaces, even on trees, and kills a wide variety of insects. It is a very useful and adaptable solution against pests that damage wood or lawns.

How To Use Bifen XTS

  • Follow the Bifen XTS Label Instructions and Apply:

Measure the treatment area’s length and width in feet, then multiply the result to get square footage (length X width). Use the square footage divided by one acre to get the acreage (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre).

Use a 0.06% dilution for perimeter treatment against other pests, specific regions in structures against insects that infest wood, and control of subterranean termites.

One quart of Bifen XTS should be diluted with 99.75 litres of water to create a ready-to-use 0.06% water dilution.

Use 0.07 to 0.30 fl. oz. of Bifen XTS per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet for grass broadcast treatments.

Dilute 0.26 to 1.28 fl. oz. of Bifen XTS per 10 gallons of water and apply at a rate of 10 gallons per 4,356 square feet for ornamentals and trees. Finish spray in a gallon can cover 435 square feet.

Moisten the grass and decorative foliage on both the top and bottom with the Bifen XTS mixed solution, being careful not to allow runoff.

After application, quickly wet the treated areas with 0.25 to 0.5 inches of water, taking extra care to avoid runoff or puddling.

Give armyworms, cutworms, and sodworms a full day’s rest before watering or cutting them down to get the best control.

Spraying three feet up the structure and a ten-foot wide band on the ground and surrounding plants is required for a perimeter treatment.

To keep hornets, wasps, bees, and yellowjackets under control when insects are sleeping or late in the evening, apply the blended solution.

Apply the mist where the insects might be nesting—in cracks and crevices, shrubs, and holes in the ground.

Fill the gaps and make contact with as many insects as you can. For ongoing control, reapply as necessary on a quarterly (every three months) basis.
