How To Use Dimension 2EW Herbicide

Dimension 2EW should be used prior to the emergence of the weeds. In the South, this varies from state to state. Usually, this time period is between the months of January and March.

Do not aerate your grass again after applying a pre-emergent, but do so before. Aerating the lawn after applying pre-emergent can reduce the effectiveness of the pre-emergent by breaking the seal over the ground and around the seeds.

We also want to make sure that the soil is at the right temperature, so we’ll be utilizing a soil thermometer. You should apply the pre-emergent before the soil temperature exceeds 55 degrees.

Unwanted seedlings will germinate and flourish at temperatures above 55.

  • The square footage can be calculated by multiplying the length by the breadth of a given area. Depending on the type of weed, use 0.5–0.73 ounces of Dimension 2EW per 1,000 square feet in 1 gallon of water. The label will provide you with the per-weed costs in detail.
  • Combine Dimension with a surfactant or spray dye and fill the rest of the spray bottle with water. To ensure a consistent spray, close the sprayer’s lid and give the container a light shake before each use.
After we’ve finished mixing the ingredients, we’ll need to add more water to the sprayer and mix it again.
  • Follow the product’s labeling instructions and apply it to the weedy areas. To ensure uniform coverage, spray using the fan setting on the nozzle. It’s important to wait for the space to dry before letting dogs or people back in.
