Description of the Methylated Seed Oil
The MSO is an oil-based adjuvant designed to be used with pesticides or herbicides that may need it to maximize the product’s performance.
It increases the effectiveness of some products, such as 2, 4-D, when adjuvants are advised.
The MSO is an excellent weed-piercer because it can get through stressed-out weeds’ thick waxy layers.

How To Use the Methylated Seed Oil
- Follow the Methylated Seed Oil Label Instructions and Apply:
To calculate square footage, multiply the length and width in feet by their respective measures. Divide the square footage by one acre to find the acreage (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres).
You can then apply the MSO after measuring your chosen herbicide as directed by the label. Mix 3/4 pint to 6 quarts of MSO per acre.
Use 16–32 ounces of product for every 100 gallons of spray solution for aquatic surface applications when calculating aquatic use rates. Use 20–40 oz. of product per 100 gallons of spray solution to treat submerged aquatic locations.
Observe the mixing instructions listed on the pesticide’s label. Methylated Seed Oil (MSO) should be added with vigorous stirring after other tank mix additives and insecticides, unless otherwise instructed.
Start misting the target plant materials with the solution diluted with the MSO at the amount and application rate suggested on the label.
To guarantee full coverage, attention should be given when spraying the vegetation to completely cover as much of the targeted vegetation as possible.
When To Use the Methylated Seed Oil
When the herbicide or pesticide of your choice specifies that using an adjuvant or surfactant such as the MSO will improve the product’s performance, use MSO.
