How Do I Describe the Bora-care Termite Treatment?

Bora-care
The Bora-care Termite Treatment

A product called Bora-Care is based on borate salt and is used to treat wood to ward off pests like termites and carpenter ants.

To defend against wood-destroying insects, Bora-Care can be blended and sprayed on the majority of unfinished or raw wood components.

It acts by essentially interfering with the target pests’ metabolic processes so that they are unable to obtain nutrients from the wood they devour and consequently perish from malnutrition.

Additionally, Boracare can be applied on surfaces to stop underground termites from building tubes. It has a long-lasting residual that can guard treated wood against insect infestations for up to 30 years, making it perfect for preventative protection.

How To Use Boracare Termite Treatment?

  • Do Your Calculation:

All exterior walls, inside walls, and the places you desire to treat should all have their linear feet measured. Most frequently, homes’ walls are framed using 2×4, 2×6, or 2×8 studs.

600 lineal feet of 2×4 studs, 400 lineal feet of 2×6, and 308 lineal feet of 2×8 can all be treated with 1 gallon of diluted Bora-Care. Simply put, a measurement’s length is expressed in linear feet (6 linear feet = 6 total feet).

  • You must calculate the square footage by multiplying the length by the breadth to treat plywood, side panels, and wood flooring.
  • You must combine Bora-Care at a 5:1 ratio for preventative treatments for wood-destroying insects and fungi (5 gallons of water to 1 gallon of Bora-Care).
  • Bora-Care should be diluted 1:1 for restorative therapies (1 gallon of water to 1 gallon of Bora-Care).

  • Follow The Bora-care Termite Treatment Label Instructions and Mix:

Pour Boracare into a bucket of HOT water and stir the thick liquid with a paddle mixer attached to a power drill until it resembles water.

Pour the completed mixture into your sprayer gently after it has been well blended.

  • Apply:

Spray the substance evenly over the exposed, unfinished wood. Boracare should be applied until the surfaces are damp but not soggy to cause drainage.

Wait at least 48 hours for Boracare to dry before painting, staining, or applying a water-resistant product to surfaces that will be exposed to rain and sunshine.
