How To Use Optimate CS Insecticide

Now to the main course, we are here because we want to know how to use Demand CS:

  • The first step in determining how much Optimate CS Insecticide you need to mix is to calculate the total square footage of the area that needs to be treated.
You may determine this by measuring the length and width of the area and multiplying those two numbers together to get the square footage. Depending on the type of pest that needs to be treated, Optimate can be applied at a variety of various dilution ratios.
A concentration of 0.0075% would be equal to 0.16 fluid ounces per gallon of water or 0.5 fluid ounces per three gallons of water. A concentration of 0.015 percent would be equal to 0.33 fluid ounces in one gallon of water, or between 1 and 2 fluid ounces in three gallons of water.
A concentration of 0.03% is equal to 0.65 fluid ounces per one gallon of water or 2.0 fluid ounces per three gallons of water. All of these prices are for treating an area of one thousand square feet.
  • You should only need to fill your sprayer up to the halfway point with the needed quantity of water. According to the results of your calculations, add the necessary measured amount of Optimate CS.
The sprayer should then be shaken vigorously before being refilled with the remaining amount of water. Once everything is thoroughly combined, you can begin spraying it.
  • Spray the insecticide Optimate CS into cracks and crevices, as well as use it as a barrier treatment along the outside perimeter of your property. If you want to maintain control over the pest you’re trying to get rid of, you should reapply Optimate CS every 21 days.

Tip-off: What are the Do’s and Don’ts of Optimate CS?

  • Remove any food and cooking equipment that could potentially come into contact with the treatment, cover all surfaces that could come into contact with food, and either wash completely after treatment and before using. Avoid Contact with All Edible Crops.
  • For perimeter treatments, apply a continuous band of insecticide around the building foundations as well as around windows, doors, service line entrances, eaves, vents, and other spots. This will decrease the likelihood that crawling pests will be able to gain access to the building.
  • Before applying the treatment, clear away any debris or leaf litter that may be next to the foundation, trim back any vegetation or branches that come in contact with the foundation, and reposition or rake back any rocks, deep mulch, or other potential pest harborages that may be next to the foundation.
  • The band should be applied around the structure at a width of up to 10 feet (or according to the state requirements that govern commercial pest control) and should be extended upward along the foundation to a height of 3 feet, as well as around windows, doors, and roof overhangs.
  • In order for the pesticide to reach the soil or thatch level where pests may be active, it should be used as a coarse spray and applied to fully and uniformly wet the foundation and/or band area.
