Advion Ant Gel

The advion ant gel is a protein ant bait that is somewhat appealing to the unsuspecting ants. It is believed to contain Indoxacarb which causes a minor delay in death and is what drives many of the baited ants into returning to their nests, where they feed on each other’s leftovers, eventually killing the entire colony.

How Does Advion Ant Gel Work?

The Advion Ant Bait Gel is designed to work in conjunction with the natural tendencies of ants. Ant workers that are out gathering food are drawn to the bait because of its sweet flavor.

After feeding on the bait, the foraging ants will make their way back to the nest, where they will distribute it to the other members of the colony, including the queen (s). Ants that consume the active component indoxacarb experience a disruption in their neurological system, which ultimately results in the ants’ demise.

DuPont was the company that first developed and patented the oxadiazine insecticide known as indoxacarb. Because it is the only chemical in its category, indoxacarb delivers benefits that have been tested in laboratories and that simply cannot be replicated by any other pesticide.

To begin, indoxacarb maintains its potency even after being digested, making it possible for it to be transmitted to other insects through the sharing of bait.
